‘Mickey Cuts Up’, Minnie Mouse (1931) #D35

$440.00

#D35 – Walt Disney Studio – ‘Mickey Cuts Up’, 1931. Humorous animation drawing of Minnie Mouse as she lands in a watering can (and, of course, drenches Mickey Mouse with water). In this cartoon Mickey, Minnie and Pluto wreak gag-laden havoc in the garden during Spring cleaning. Spring cleaning in Minnie’s yard turns out to be quite a chore for Mickey, who wrangles with a cat and a birdhouse, while Pluto creates havoc with a lawn mower. It is a final animation drawing created by a Disney animator in production of the animated cartoon, and a cel was made directly from it. Drawn in red and black pencil on an untrimmed animation sheet, the art measures 2.50′ x 3.00′. The animator wrote the number ‘149’ at the bottom to indicate this drawing’s place in the scene. In excellent condition showing only light handling from the animation process itself: VERY FINE. Certificate of authenticity is included.
