#D61 – Walt Disney Studio – ‘How to Ride a Horse’, Originally Released on June 20, 1941. This is a Disney drawing of the ‘Horse: The Friend of Man’ that appeared in the ‘Reluctant Dragon’ sequences. Drawn in graphite and red pencil on an untrimmed animation sheet, the art measures 5.00′ x 4.50′ on a 5-hole untrimmed production sheet (10.00′ X 12.00′). Animator notes appear along the bottom of the horse – ‘TIC #239’. The animator also wrote ‘Complete Horse’ and the number ‘H-249’ at the bottom to indicate this drawing’s place in the scene. In excellent condition showing only light handling from the animation process itself: VERY FINE. Five short animated stories wrapped around a tour of the Walt Disney Studios. Includes ‘Casey, Jr.’, ‘Old MacDonald Duck’, ‘Baby Weems’, ‘How to Ride a Horse’ and ‘The Reluctant Dragon’.
