Model Sheets have been used for years to insure that all the Animators drawing a character would draw them exactly the same way. The studio would STAT-COPY or print a very limited number of these and give them to the artists working on that film only.

#DP1 - Walt Disney Studio 'Pinocchio', 1940. This 1939 layout (model sheet) measures 10.75' X 10.5', depicting the front entrance to 'Geppetto's house'. It is titled 'Final Model of front Porch and Doorway on Geppetto's house. COA Howard Lowery Gallery. The exterior of Geppettos house is seen on this rare sheet. A celebrated Swedish artist and illustrator, Gustav Tenggren worked at the Disney studio from 1936 to 1939 on concept work for Snow White and Pinocchio. Walt wanted the films to have the look of 19th century European storybooks and personally brought Tenggren in to work with the other artists on atmosphere and design. This premium-sized vintage photostat sheet is filled with the rich drawing that has made him one of the most highly regarded Disney artists to this day.

This photostated model sheet measures 10.00' X 12.00' and is an untrimmed of the five men with funny hats who discover Ferdinand. Also, of the matador who was modeled after Walt Disney. This piece originally came from Collector's Paradise Gallery.
