Gene Deicth ran the studio (1956-58) and made a bunch of great CinemaScope cartoons (with Clint Clobber, Tom Terrific, Gaston LeCrayon, etc.) which are completely forgotten today.
The 'New Terrytoons' period in the late 1950s and 60s brought us Sidney, Hector Heathcoate, Hashimoto and Deputy Dawg. Not to mention The Mighty Heroes and Ralph Bakshi.
Terrytoons were originally released by 20th Century Fox. Today they are owned by CBS-Viacom (under Paramount Pictures).
#TT - TERRYTOONS - 'CHRIS COLUMBO', August 12, 1938. This animation drawing directed by Eddie Donnelly of a parrot looking through a telescope was created by an animator in development of a scene in the animated cartoon.

The animator wrote the number 'B' at the top right to indicate place in the scene, rendered on 3 peg hole sheet also includes Production Markings by Animator. Excellent condition showing only light handling from the animation process itself: VERY FINE.

#TT4 - Paul Terry Studio, THE WRECK OF THE HESPERUS, 1944. This character design drawing of the female lead (or damsel-in-distress) was created by a Paul Terry Studio artist in development of this character in the early animated Mighty Mouse cartoon. Drawn in colored pencil on a 9 1/2' x 11' animation sheet, the art measures 6' x 5'. Original production art from the Paul Terry Studio is scarce. In excellent condition with only minor creasing at top edge away from the art: VERY FINE. Howard Lowery Gallery certificate of authenticity is included.
A hurricane hits the Hesperus, and the skipper faces shoals, shipwreck and sharks. The mouse crew is helpless. Mighty Mouse hears an SOS, dashes to the rescue and shoos off the sharks. He tows the ship to New York and, in the finale, rides up Broadway in a shower of tickertape.
This was the first cartoon in which Terrytoons changed the name of the character 'Supermouse' to 'Mighty Mouse.'
Created by I. (Izzy) Klein in the spring of 1940, this character was originally designed as a fly. Paul Terry liked the concept, and green-lighted the project after changing the fly to a mouse called, 'Supermouse.'
After two years on the screen, the Supermouse name was changed to Mighty Mouse. Some reports are that the threat of a lawsuit from DC Comics was behind this name change. Others insist that Terry did not want to compete against a character of the same name that an ex-TerryToons employee drew for Coo Coo Comics.
In any case, in 1944, the character's name was changed, and the Supermouse cartoons were retitled to the new name.
